Brazilian football player Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, or well-known as Ronaldinho, was born on March 21, 1980, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. His father was a professional player too, and certainly influenced his sons Ronaldinho and Roberto Assis to become soccer players.
In his youth, Ronaldinho was a vital member of the Brazilian football team, which won the World Cup in 2002. During his active career, he played for Brazil ( Gremio: 1998-2001), France( Paris Saint-Germain 2001-2003), Spain ( Barcelona 2004-2008), and Italy( A.C. Milan 2009-2011).
Ronaldinho's career in Barcelona started in 2003. He started the season with success and in 2004 won FIFA World Player of the Year for the first time in his life. This title is the highest individual honor in the sport, and Ronaldinho won it back-to-back in 2005 too. The following season is considered to be the best part of his career, and he was instrumental in FC Barcelona winning the UEFA Champions League.
After Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho is the second Barca player, who received a standing ovation at the Santiago Bernabéu from Real Madrid supporters after two spectacular goals during El Clasico.
After 2007-2008 season Ronaldinho left the football club Barcelona, but during his career in the club, he scored 94 goals for Barca.
